Despite Türkiye's claim that the country allegedly "legally" receives grain, satellite images prove otherwise
The Russians turn off radars on ships that take Ukrainian grain from Crimea to Turkish ports, but they are repeatedly captured by satellite images.
According to the investigation of "Skhemy" journalists, the Russian-flagged ship "Mykhailo Nenashev" sailed three times from the port in the temporarily occupied Crimea to the ports of Türkiye.
On April 15, the Planet Labs satellite recorded this bulk carrier near the Avlita port terminal, and on April 22, the Mykhailo Nenashev docked at the Turkish port of Derince.
Another such passage to Türkiye was performed by "Nenashev". On May 25, the previously mentioned satellite showed it near "Avlita", the next day the bulker put out to sea and on May 30 it reached the Turkish port of "Iskenderun".
The satellite also recorded other ships that followed the same system.
In addition to pictures from space, "Skhemy" has documents that show that "Nenashev" on its way to Türkiye was loaded with grain at the Crimean terminal "Avlita". At the same time, in the documents, the origin of the grain is indicated as "Crimea, Russia".
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Türkiye, Vasyl Bodnar, notes that in Türkiye, Russian documents, which are provided for importing grain into the port, are interpreted as legal.
