Ukraine is rebuilding river ports on the Danube to export grain

Before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the ports on the Danube were rarely used, and some of them fell into complete disrepair.

Alla Stoianova, head of the Department of Agrarian Policy of the Odesa Region, cites the example of the Reni Commercial Seaport, which was one of the most important ports in the region during the Soviet Union but has not been used at all recently.

Currently, more than 160 ships are waiting in the Black Sea to enter the Sulina Canal, but its daily throughput is only 5-6 ships.
