Ireland supports the earliest accession of Ukraine to the EU — the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Simon Coveney said that Ireland is in favor of the quick accession of Ukraine to the European Union. He noted that “Ukrainians are motivated by this dream and they should hope for full membership.” 

“Of course, there should be mandatory standards that candidate countries have to comply with, but we also need to celebrate progress when it happens,“ the politician said.
