Russia deliberately killed prisoners to hide the conditions of detention and the consequences of interrogations of Ukrainian servicemen in Olenivka — the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine

According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, mercenaries from the Wagner group mined the places of detention of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Olenivka, using flammable substances, which led to the rapid spread of the fire.

The FSB representatives also planned to use the Ukrainian prisoners in pro-Russian reports to highlight the alleged "recognition by the prisoners of crimes committed by them, atrocities against the local population, renunciation of their views, as well as condemnation of the actions of the leadership of Ukraine."

After the refusal of the Ukrainian military to take part in propaganda, the Russians carried out a terrorist attack.
