Ombudsman Lubinets called on the Georgian authorities to allow him to visit Mikheil Saakashvili

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner called on the Georgian authorities to allow him to the place of detention of the former President of Georgia, a citizen of Ukraine, Mikheil Saakashvili.

Dmytro Lubinets wrote about this in his Telegram.

He also demands that he be released for treatment.

According to him, he spoke several times with the Ombudsman of Georgia and wrote several letters to the Ministry of Justice on this matter but did not receive an answer.

"What we see in the photo and video is the torture of a Ukrainian citizen. Everyone is publicly watching how his condition is deteriorating. And this is unacceptable!" wrote Lubinets.

The Ombudsman also appealed to all human rights organizations to influence the Georgian authorities.

"Ukraine will not stand aside when its citizens are in such conditions and need urgent help!" Lubinets emphasized.
