Zaluzhnyi and Syrskyi call for the further defense of Bakhmut
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi and Commander of the Eastern Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi called for the further defense of Bakhmut and the strengthening of positions.
They stated this during a meeting of Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the Presidential Office reports.
"Assessing the course of the defense operation, the President asked the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, and the Commander of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group of Troops Oleksandr Syrskyi about further actions in the Bakhmut direction. They spoke in favor of continuing the defense operation and further strengthening our positions in Bakhmut," the statement said.
