On April 23, 2022, a Russian missile hit the Tiras residential complex in Odesa. Eight people were killed, including Yurii's family - his wife Valeriia, three-month-old daughter Kira and mother-in-law Liudmyla. Yurii was at the shop at that time. The incident happened on Easter Eve.
Yurii Hlodan joined the army last autumn. At first, he served in the Azov Brigade and then transferred to the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
