Water levels in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions keep falling

The water level in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions is falling, after rising due to the Russians' explosion of the Kakhovka HPP.

This was reported by the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevych, and the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

In Mykolaiv, the water level has dropped by 8 cm overnight to +28 cm.

In the Kherson region, the water level is at 2.04 metres. Forty-four settlements remain flooded - 27 in the government-controlled area and 17 in the temporarily occupied territory.

The area of flooded agricultural land on the right bank has decreased by 600 hectares.

2,782 people were evacuated from the right bank. On June 14, Russians again fired on evacuation groups, injuring two volunteers.

No cases of infectious diseases were detected in the region.

As a reminder, on June 6, Russian troops blew up the Kakhovka HPP, located in the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region.
