Ukrainian Ombudsman calls on international partners to condemn and not recognise the results of the so-called "elections" in the temporarily occupied territories
Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, called on international partners not to recognise the so-called "elections" held by Russia in the temporarily occupied territories.
He said this on the air of the national telethon.
Dmytro Lubinets stressed that the pseudo-elections in the temporarily occupied territories are primarily a "ruse" for the international community.
"This will then be used to protect the interests of the Russian Federation in the UN and other international organisations," Lubinets said.
Lubinets called the so-called "elections" in the temporarily occupied territories "a separate war crime" and called on other states to continue their sanctions policy against Russia.
It will be recalled that Russians are holding so-called "elections" to the "legislative assembly" — a collaborative "local council" — in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
