Ukraine will no longer need a Membership Action Plan to join NATO

After "intensive talks," NATO countries have agreed to eliminate the Membership Action Plan for Ukraine.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba wrote about this on his social media.

"I welcome this long-awaited decision that shortens our path to NATO. It is also the best moment to offer clarity on the invitation to Ukraine to become [the Alliance] member," the minister said.

A Membership Action Plan is a programme of actions that candidate countries are required to implement before joining the Alliance.
