Ukraine appeals to the OSCE to postpone the winter meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna — the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk

The meeting is scheduled for February 23-24. 

Austria has not refused to issue visas to representatives of the Russian delegation. 

Journalist Stephanie Liechtenstein writes: "Ukraine believes that the sanctioned Russian deputies who are to attend the meeting will use the event as a 'platform to justify aggression against Ukraine."

She adds that the OSCE spokesperson told her that the winter meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly would take place as scheduled. In their opinion, it is too late to postpone the meeting, and according to the rules of procedure of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the winter meeting should be held in the first two months of the year.
