The United States has extended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Ukrainians until 2025.

The press service of the US Department of Homeland Security reported this.

The status will be extended from October 20, 2023, to April 19, 2025.

Currently, according to the Department, approximately 26,000 Ukrainians have TPS.

In order to maintain their status and work permits, Ukrainians in the United States must re-register between August 21 and October 20, 2023.

Employment Authorization Document (EAD) has been automatically extended until October 19, 2024.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, approximately 166,700 more Ukrainians may be eligible for temporary protection in the United States. These are Ukrainian citizens who are in the United States in nonimmigrant status.
