The United States announces new military aid package for Ukraine worth US$175 million

The United States has allocated $175 million in military aid to Ukraine.

The website of the US Department of State reports.

The package includes, among other things:

  •   air defence equipment,
  •   additional ammunition for highly mobile artillery missile systems,
  •   artillery ammunition,
  •   high speed anti radiation missiles and anti tank missiles,
  •   ammunition for small arms, explosive ammunition for clearing obstacles, equipment for the protection of critical national infrastructure,
  •   spare parts, auxiliary equipment, etc.

In addition, the US State Department reports that this may be one of the last military aid packages for Ukraine.

"Unless Congress acts to pass the President’s national security supplemental funding request, this will be one of the last security assistance packages we can provide to Ukraine... we need Congress to act immediately," the statement said.

It will be recalled that President Joe Biden called the prospect of the United States refusing to help Ukraine a "mistake" and "madness".
