The State Duma of the Russian Federation unanimously adopted federal laws on the so-called "accession" of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions to Russia
On October 2, according to the decision of the Constitutional Court of Russia, the Donetsk and Luhansk regions were illegally defined as "republics," and the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions were "separate entities." On October 3, the State Duma of the Russian Federation ratified the agreements on the so-called "accession" of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia.
