The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine investigates the involvement of the Belarusian Red Cross in the forced deportation of children
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has launched an investigation into the involvement of the Belarusian Red Cross Society in the forced deportation of children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to Belarus.
Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin announced this.
Kostin hopes that the ICRC will consider this violation of integrity and take appropriate measures.
"The participation of the Belarusian Red Cross in the forced deportation of Ukrainian children from the Russian-occupied territories to Belarus is complicity in an international crime. This organisation grossly violates the norms of the Geneva Conventions, as well as the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross Movement," the Prosecutor General said.
