The Ombudsman's Office has received "dozens of videos" of executions of Ukrainian military by Russians

During an interview with Ukrainska Pravda, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, said that over the past nine months, the Ombudsman's Office has received "dozens of videos" of executions of Ukrainian POWs by Russian troops.

This is evidenced by the recording of the interview.

These videos showed heads, genitals, ears, noses, limbs, and phalanges on hands being cut off. Russians record these videos themselves and publish them on their Telegram channels.

Some of the executioners have already been identified. The Ombudsman also has information about one of the executioners killed during the hostilities.

According to Lubinets, Russians publish such videos for three reasons. Firstly, to maintain the degree of "anti-Ukrainian hysteria" within Russian society. Secondly, to convince their soldiers not to surrender to Ukrainian captivity. Thirdly, to intimidate the Ukrainian military.

It will be recalled that Russian propaganda media recently circulated a video showing the execution of a Ukrainian soldier. The Security Service of Ukraine launched a pre-trial investigation into the case, and the Ombudsman of Ukraine appealed to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
