The most likely cause of the COVID-19 pandemic is a lab leak in China — FBI Director

"The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan. Here you are talking about a potential leak from a Chinese government-controlled lab," FBI Director Christopher Wray said in an interview with Fox News.

He also added that the Chinese government is obstructing the investigation of the true causes of the pandemic in every way possible.

"I will just make the observation that the Chinese government, it seems to me, has been doing its best to try to thwart and obfuscate the work here," the FBI chief said.
