The IAEA found that the abducted Zaporizhzhia NPP Director General Ihor Murashov had been "temporarily detained"

This information was obtained after the IAEA had contacted the "relevant authorities".

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi confirmed that the Agency, in accordance with its mandate in the field of nuclear safety, is actively seeking clarification and hopes for a quick and satisfactory resolution of this issue.

To recap, the IAEA asked the Russians to provide explanations regarding the abduction of Zaporizhzhia NPP Director General. On September 30, Russians detained Zaporizhzhia NPP Director General Ihor Murashov and took him to an unknown destination.
