The first evacuation flight with Ukrainians departs from Israel

On the evening of October 14, the first evacuation flight with 207 Ukrainian citizens took off from Tel Aviv, Israel. 

Oleh Nikolenko, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, announced this.

There are 63 children among the evacuees. The plane is heading from Tel Aviv to Bucharest, the capital of Romania. 

A flight with 155 Ukrainians is scheduled for October 15 to the Romanian city of Cluj.

It will be recalled that there are currently 243 Ukrainian citizens who need to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip.

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said that on October 14, the Israeli Foreign Ministry withdrew the evacuation permit two hours before the scheduled opening of the corridor through the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza.
