The European Court of Human Rights rejects all claims of the Russian Federation in the case of Russia vs. Ukraine
The European Court of Human Rights has removed the case of Russia vs Ukraine from the registers.
This was reported by the ECHR press service.
The court found no grounds to continue the case.
Russia has reportedly ignored recent requests from the ECHR and has not participated in the process since it ceased to be a member of the Council of Europe.
On July 22, 2021, Russia filed a statement with the court accusing Ukraine of the deaths of the passengers of the downed MH17 aircraft, as well as of restricting the use of the Russian language and attacks on Russian embassies and consulates.
"The case concerned the Russian government's claim that there had been 'administrative practices' in Ukraine since 2014 in relation to killings, abductions, forced displacement, interference with the right to vote, restrictions on the use of the Russian language and attacks on Russian embassies and consulates," the statement reads.
Russia also complained about the cut-off water supply to the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Earlier, the European Court of Human Rights confirmed Russia's involvement in the downing of the MH17 flight.
