The commander of the Azov regiment, Denys Prokopenko, may be in the Russian Federation; there is no official confirmation

The wife of the commander, Kateryna Prokopenko, reported this in an interview with Suspilne. She notes that she found out about her husband's probable whereabouts through the Russian media.

"I only know that he was taken to Russia, and it has not been confirmed yet. The authorities do not give me final confirmation, because it is difficult to confirm anything here," says Prokopenko.

The woman emphasizes that the ICRC was supposed to report her husband's whereabouts, but it is not happening.
