Shelling in Donetsk region kills two civilians and wounds 12 others
In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline, the Russians attacked Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, Velyka Novosilka, Drobysheve, Veselyi Hai, Hannaivka, Illinka, Krasnoiarske, Markove, Nova Poltavka, and Pushkine. A total of 65 residential buildings, administrative buildings, an educational institution, a shop, a petrol station, a livestock farm, garages, cars, and critical infrastructure were damaged. Two civilians were killed, and 12 others were injured.
In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, Russia shelled Bohodukhiv, Zaliznychne, Kupiansk, Tsupivka, Cherkaska Lozova, Senkove, Tsyrkuny, Bohuslavka, Moskovka, Novoosynove, Stetskivska, Kasianivka, Shyikivka, and Liubotyne. The shelling resulted in massive fires of grass and forest litter, damaged power lines, and burned five outbuildings and a private house. One private house was damaged. Five civilians were injured.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region in south-central Ukraine, the Russians shelled Nikopol, Pavlohrad, the Marhanets, Myrove, and Chervonohryhorivka communities, as well as the districts of Pavlorad and Synelnykove, and the village of Kryvorizhzhia. The Russian strikes damaged infrastructure, cars, a garage, a boat, more than 20 private houses, an outbuilding, power lines, and a gas pipeline. The shelling also caused fires. When the firefighters were extinguishing one of the fires, the Russians struck again, and a rescuer was injured. In addition, one civilian was killed, and 32 others, including three children, were wounded by the shelling.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, Russians shelled the communities of Sumy, Richky, Stepanivka, Myropillia, Khotin, Yunakivka, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Trostianets, Boromlia, Esman, Nova Sloboda, Seredyna-Buda, Yampil, Shalyhyne, Druzhba, Bezdryk, Bilopillia, and Vorozhba.
The Russian attack damaged three multi-storey buildings, 25 houses, a hospital, a lyceum, enterprises, an outbuilding, two garages, three cars, two trucks, and two trailers. Over the last day, 160 attacks were recorded in the region.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled Hremiach, Karpovychi, Khotiivka, Mykolaivka, Halahanivka, and Yeline. As a result of the shelling, two private houses caught fire, and two people were wounded. A total of 79 explosions were recorded in the region over the day.
In the Kherson region, partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army shelled Kherson, Sadove, Komyshany, Prydniprovske, Kizomys, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, Odradokamianka, Tiahynka, Mykhailivka, Zolota Balka, Burhunka, and Rakivka. An educational and medical institution, an administrative building, a shopping and entertainment centre, two multi-storey buildings, eight private houses, a warehouse, and private cars were damaged. Four civilians were injured.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, Russia attacked Bilohiria, Biliaivka, Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Novodanylivka, Stepnohirsk, and Preobrazhenky. The Russian army used aviation, UAVs, MLRS, and artillery to attack. Twenty-one residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged. The regional military administration reported no casualties. Over the day, 330 attacks were recorded in the region.
In the Lviv region, bordering Poland to the west, Russia attacked the region with UAVs. The falling wreckage of a downed drone set four trucks on fire. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians attacked Nevske and Makiivka. They used cannons, rocket artillery, and drones.
In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russian army shelled the Kutsurub community. A private house was damaged. As a result of the fall of UAV debris in the Bashtanka district, dry grass caught fire in an open area. The regional military administration reported no casualties.
