Seven deaths due to Russian shelling of Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv regions
On the night of October 25, Russians attacked Ukrainian cities with 63 Shahed combat UAVs and unspecified UAVs. Anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units and the Ukrainian Air and Defence Forces mobile fire groups repelled the air attack. Thirty-six enemy UAVs were confirmed downed, and another 16 Russian drones lost radar contact (disabled by electronic warfare).
In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russian armed forces shelled Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Andriivka, Dachenske, Zelene, Rozlyv and Stinky with MLRS, aircraft and artillery. The shelling of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Zelene and Dachenske resulted in five deaths and one civilian being injured. Residential buildings, an express delivery service branch, an administrative building, shops, a kiosk, a petrol station, a power line, an outpatient clinic, lock-ups and vehicles were damaged or destroyed.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russian army shelled Balka Zhuravka, Hrekivka and Tverdokhlibove with artillery, MLRS and UAVs. As a result of one of the strikes in Balka Zhuravka, a 68-year-old man was killed and two other residents were injured.
In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, Russian troops shelled Borivska Andriivka, Cherkaska Lozova and Kupiansk. A 73-year-old woman was killed and 10 people were injured in an air strike on Kupiansk. A 2-storey commercial building, 12 kiosks, a government office and a kindergarten, as well as several residential buildings, were partially destroyed. In Borivska Andriivka, a private house, a garage and a fence were damaged by shelling.
In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, Kherson, Sofiyivka, Beryslav, Zelenivka, Tomyna Balka, Novovorontsovka, Chornobaivka, Lozove, Komyshany, Novodmytrivka, Kachkarivka, Rozlyv, Bilozerka, Veletenske, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Kizomys, Antonivka, Tomaryne, Dariivka, Inhulets, Burhunka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Inzhenerne and Novotiahynka came under Russian shelling and air strikes. Five people were injured as a result of Russian aggression. The Russian military hit critical infrastructure, a mobile phone tower, a dormitory, a multi-storey building, private homes and vehicles.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south-central Ukraine, the Nikopol, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Myrove communities came under Russian artillery, MLRS and UAV attacks. A five-storey building, a private house, infrastructure, an administrative building, a petrol station, a power line and transport were damaged. No civilians were injured.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, south, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians shelled Lobkove, Orikhove, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Levadne, Novoselivka, Huliaipilske, Mali Shcherbaki, Zaliznychne, Novohryhorivka and Chervona Krynytsia with aircraft, UAVs, MLRS and artillery. There were 8 reports of residential buildings and infrastructure being destroyed. No civilians were injured.
In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russians fired four times at the Kutsurub community with FPV drones. As a result, two private houses and three cars were damaged in Dmytrivka. No casualties were reported.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Khotin, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorod communities came under Russian shelling. There is no information on casualties or damage.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, Russian troops attacked five border villages in the Semenivka community with mortars, cannon artillery, grenade launchers, drones and tanks. There is no information on casualties or damage.
