Satellite images show increased activity at a military field camp near the town of Asipovichy in Belarus
Satellite images have shown an increase in activity in a military field camp near the town of Asipovichy in Belarus.
The New York Times reported this.
The updated images were taken on July 17. They showed that trucks, vans, and cars similar to those used by Russian Wagner mercenaries had arrived at the camp.
After the so-called Wagner uprising in Russia, more than 300 military tents were set up in the field camp near Asipovichy. However, for the past two weeks, the camp has been mostly empty. Therefore, it was unclear whether the military would actually move there.
It will be recalled that on July 14, the Ministry of Defence of Belarus reported that mercenaries of the Wagner PMC were allegedly conducting training for the Belarusian military near Asipovichy.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated that the Wagner militants who arrived in Belarus do not currently pose a threat to Ukraine.
