Russians kidnap volunteer Illia Yenin for the second time in temporarily occupied Melitopol
Yenin used to help the army, but after receiving threats, he suspended his public activity. Currently, his family does not know what happened to him.
"At around 9 a.m. on March 7, the house where Illia lives with his elderly grandmother was most likely visited by Russian special services. Politely, but without explaining any reasons, they informed me that my son needed to 'go with them to have a talk,' told him to take his passport, and asked why he had not received a Russian one. Since then, we have not heard anything about Illia," said the volunteer's mother, Tetiana Yenina.
According to her, the Russians said they would only have a conversation with Illia and let him take a lie detector test.
This is the second time the Russian special services have illegally detained the volunteer. On 18 July 2022, armed men took away Illia Yenin after a search of his house. He was held in Russian captivity for 21 days, after which he was released without any charges.
