Russian shelling of Kharkiv injures 36 civilians and kills three more

On the night of September 25, Russia launched four X-59/69 guided missiles, an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile, three missiles of unspecified type, and 32 Shahed combat drones at Ukraine.

The Air Defence Forces reported shooting down 28 combat drones and four X-59/69 guided missiles in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions. Four more enemy drones lost radar contact.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs killing three civilians and injuring thirty-six others. Nine residential buildings, three educational institutions, a civilian enterprise, and a water bottling plant suffered damage. The Russians also shelled Bohuslavka, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Kupiansk, Kurylivka, and Varvarovka. Four civilians received injuries and two died.

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities. The regional military administration reports no casualties. 

In the Sumy region, bordering the Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia to the north, the Russians fired 247 times with various types of weapons. Nine private households, a hangar of an agricultural company, a heating pipeline, a sawmill, a workshop building of an enterprise, a farm, and a low-pressure gas pipeline were damaged. One civilian was injured, another died.

In the Donetsk region, located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine and partially occupied since 2014, the Russians struck 2,967 times at Hirnyk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Mykolaivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Shcherbynivka, Dachne, Malynivka, Nykanorivka, Oleksandropol, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Romanivka, Svitle, Stinky, Sukhyi Yar, Yurkivka. Five civilians were injured and three were killed. Twenty residential buildings are damaged. 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south-central Ukraine, the Russians shelled Nikopol and the Marhanets community with drones and artillery damaging a private house. No casualties were reported. Due to a Russian attack, a building caught fire in the Sinelnykivsky district. No casualties were reported, either.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians conducted an air strike on Zaporizhzhia. Seven civilians were injured. The Russians also shelled Levadne, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Bilohiria, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Huliaipole killing one civilian.

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russians used a drone to attack a car in the Kutsurub community. Two civilians suffered injuries. 

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Burhunka, Veletenske, Stanislav, Sadove, Poniativka, Tomyna Balka, Shyroka Balka, Zolota Balka, Zmiivka, Odradokamianka, Novoraisk, Nova Kamianka, Sukhanove, Kreshchenivka, Mykhailivka, Monastyrske, and Kherson. One civilian died and eighteen others sustained injuries. A critical infrastructure facility, educational and medical institutions, a banking institution, an office building, a multi-storey building, 16 private houses, a gas pipeline, a lock-up, agricultural machinery and private cars suffered damage.
