Russian shelling injures ten civilians in Donetsk region on September 18
On the night of September 19, Russia attacked Ukraine with 42 Shahed combat drones, three S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, and an X-59/69 guided missile. The Air Force reported shooting down all 42 combat drones and an X-59/69 guided missile in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.
In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia to the east, the Russians shelled Kupiansk, Novoplatonivka, Kharkiv, Hlushkivka, Vasylivka, Velyki Prokhody, Novoosynove, and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. In Kharkiv, an attack by an S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft missile damaged nine high-rise buildings, a shop, and a private house, and a 1.5-hectare fire broke out in the forest. In total, seven civilians were injured in the shelling of the region, and one was killed.
In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline, the Russians launched 2723 attacks on Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, Novoekonomichne, Udachne, Malynivka, Markove, and Stavky. Twelve residential buildings, enterprises, a morgue, cars, agricultural machinery, and critical infrastructure were damaged. Ten civilians were injured.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians shelled Nevske and Makiivka with cannon artillery and combat drones. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region in south-central Ukraine, the Russians shelled Nikopol and the communities of Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians launched 161 attacks on 12 settlements. Two civilians were injured, and one was killed.
In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russians shelled the Kutsurub community with FPV combat drones. The building of a medical center and a car were damaged. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russians shelled Zmiivka, Tiahynka, Kozatske, Prydniprovske, Antonivka, Sadove, Bobrovyi Kut, Sukhyi Stavok, Odradokamianka, Kachkarivka, and Kherson. A multi-storey building, three private houses, a milk tank, a car shop, and a service vehicle were damaged. Six civilians were injured.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the communities of Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka with FPV drones, cannon artillery, and mortars. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians launched 149 attacks on 42 settlements. Nine private houses, three outbuildings, a hospital, and a farm were damaged. Two civilians were injured, and two others were killed.
