Russian media claim that 55 people died as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP in the occupied territory of the Kherson region

Russian propaganda media have been spreading information that 55 people died as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant on June 6 in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

On July 7, the bodies of two more victims were allegedly found in the region.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russian groups were operating on the left bank of the Kherson region, hiding the bodies of dead civilians. The Russians used a similar practice in temporarily occupied Mariupol to hide the crimes they committed.

Recently, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission stated that it was unable to enter the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. According to the regional director, Ariane Bauer, the mission continues negotiations to gain access to the occupied settlements.
