Russian Black Sea fleet ship Sergei Kotov damaged in drone attack

Temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukraine (Svidomi) — Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate conducted a special operation that resulted in the destruction of the Russian Black Sea Fleet patrol ship Sergei Kotov.

They attacked the ship with Maritime Autonomous Guard Unmanned Robotic Apparatus, MAGURA V5 drones. At least three drones hit the ship.

The operation was carried out by the DIU jointly with the Ukrainian Navy and with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation. As a result of the attack, the ship sustained damage to the stern, starboard and port sides.

This ship had already been attacked, but it was repaired later. Now it is beyond repair.

There are dead and wounded among the crew, but some of the crew managed to evacuate.

According to the Ukrainian Navy, the Sergei Kotov was the most modern patrol ship in Russia.

In total, the Russians have launched only four ships for the Navy's Project 22160: Vasily Bykov, Dmitry Rogachev, Pavel Derzhavin, and Sergei Kotov. Of these, only Dmitry Rogachev has not been damaged so far.
