Rocket attacks on Dnipro, Chernihiv and ten thousand attacks in the Donetsk region

During the week, 50 people were killed by Russian shelling. Another 215 were injured.

On April 19, the Russian army launched a massive attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region in southcentral Ukraine, one of the country's most important industrial areas. Residential buildings and two infrastructure facilities were damaged in Dnipro, Synelnykove, Pavlohrad and Kryvyi Rih. Seven people were killed in the region, including two children. Thirty-five people were injured.

In the previous days of the week, Russians carried out 85 attacks in the region. The Nikopol, Dnipro and Synelnykove districts came under attack. Seventeen people were injured, including a 15-year-old teenager.

On April 16, Russians fired three rockets at the central part of Chernihiv, a city in the north of Ukraine, 80 km from the border with Russia. Eighteen people were killed and 78 injured. A hotel, a hospital, an educational institution and 17 high-rise residential buildings were damaged.

During the week, 251 explosions were recorded in the Chernihiv region, which borders Belarus and Russia to the north. The Semenivka, Snovske, Horodnianka, and Novhorod-Siverskyi communities came under fire. On April 13, another person was killed in the shelling of the Buchky village.

In the Sumy region, which borders Russia to the north, 634 explosions were recorded. Russians shelled the communities of Mykolaivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Svesa, Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman and Seredyna-Buda.

One person was killed in the Krasnosil community. Three others were injured in the region. Utilities, residential buildings, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged.

The Russian army launched 93 attacks on the Kharkiv region, which borders Russia to the east. Eight civilians were killed and 33 injured. Two hundred fifty-two civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed, the Prosecutor's Office of the Kharkiv region told Svidomi.

Last week, the Russians fired 10,928 times at the Donetsk region, which has been partially occupied since 2014 and is located on the front line in the east of Ukraine. One hundred eighty-two civilian objects were damaged. Among them, there are residential buildings, administrative buildings, educational institutions, shops, railway tracks and power grids. The shelling killed 14 people. Eight people were wounded in the region.

In the Luhansk region, which Russia almost entirely occupies, the Russians are shelling the frontline areas of the Serebrianka forest, Makiivka, Nevske, Hrekivka and Bilohorivka.

The Russians launched 1,922 attacks in the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022. Mala Tokmachka, Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Malynivka, Chervonodniprovka, Novopavlivka, Novoandriivka, Prymorske and Mali Shcherbaky came under fire. The local authorities received 56 reports of residential buildings and infrastructure being destroyed.

One person died as a result of hostile shelling of the Vasylivka district. Three more people were injured in Huliaipole.

Russian troops fired 33 times at the city of Kherson and 50 times at other localities in the Kherson region, partially occupied since 2022. Over the week, 34 people sustained injuries.

Residential houses, an administrative building, a kindergarten, a port and critical infrastructure, enterprises and gas pipelines were shelled.

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, Russians fired five times at the Ochakiv community and 12 times at the Kutsurub community. Private houses were damaged. Four people were injured in Ochakiv.

During the week, Russians also attacked the Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa and Kirovohrad regions. There were no reports of casualties.
