Poland retracts statement that state-owned defence concern was not invited to Defence Industries Forum
Poland's Minister of State Assets, Jacek Sasin, has apologised for his statement that Ukraine had allegedly not invited Polish companies to the Defence Industries Forum in Kyiv.
Jacek Sasin wrote about this on his X page.
In an interview with Radio ZET, Sasin said that the state-owned defence concern Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa had not received an invitation, adding that he saw "many unfriendly steps from Ukraine."
Later, it turned out that Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa did receive an invitation but decided not to participate in the event.
"At the time of the interview, I did not have precise information," the Polish official explained his statement.
The fact that Poland had been invited to the Forum was previously reported by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Vasyl Zvarych.
It will be recalled that on September 30, Zelenskyy announced the creation of the Alliance of Defence Industries during the first International Forum, which was attended by more than 250 defence companies from 30 countries.
The Alliance of Defence Industries has already been joined by 13 companies that are ready to cooperate with Ukraine in arms production.
