Poland hopes that Ukraine will take into account its position on the protection of Polish agriculture
After a meeting with the Ukrainian ambassador, the Polish Foreign Ministry said it wanted good relations with Ukraine based on "mutual respect and understanding of national interests".
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
"Poland expects that Ukraine will be ready to take into account our position on the protection of Polish agriculture and other issues," the statement reads.
The ministry also stresses that it is necessary to "avoid words and actions that harm good relations".
Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Paweł Jabłoński said that the state of Ukrainian-Polish relations was "not the best". He explained this assessment by "some statements made by representatives of the Ukrainian authorities".
