Kyiv is considering the possibility of complete evacuation of citizens in case of a complete blackout
This was reported by the head of the Department of Municipal Security of the Kyiv City State Administration Roman Tkachuk in a comment to "The New York Times".
According to him, Kyiv authorities will receive a message that the network is on the verge of failure 12 hours before a possible complete blackout.
Tkachuk notes that the situation in the capital is currently manageable, but Russian shelling of critical infrastructure may cause the loss of the power system. At the same time, he noted that the city administration and the government are taking "all possible measures" to protect the power supply system.
