Japan imposes sanctions on sanctioned Russian individuals, companies and organisations

In a statement, the Japanese Foreign Ministry says that the country has frozen the assets of 73 legal entities and 39 individuals from Russia.  The sanctions include the head of the Kalashnikov concern, Alan Lushnikov, Deputy Defence Minister Víktar Goromykin, and employees of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and the General Staff's computer centre.

The restrictions also apply to the head of the Presidential Administration for Supporting the Activities of the State Council, Alexander Kharychev, his deputy Boris Rapoport, and Turpal-Ali Ibragimov, who is said to be a relative of Ramzan Kadyrov. 

The sanctions list includes the Ak Bars holding company, the Soyuz Federal Center for Dual Technologies, the Roselectronics holding company, and several institutes and research centres related to the military-industrial complex, including the Lebedev Physical Institute.
