In Ukraine, 1624 objects of cultural infrastructure were damaged by Russian shelling

Cultural infrastructure suffered the greatest losses and damage in the Donetsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and Luhansk regions, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy in Ukraine reports.

Over the past month, the total number of affected cultural infrastructure facilities has increased by 19, most of them in the Odesa region.

Clubs, libraries, museums, theatres, philharmonic societies, and art education institutions have been damaged and destroyed. Clubs are the largest group of cultural infrastructure facilities that have been damaged or destroyed.

"Almost the entire territory of the Luhansk region and significant parts of the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions are still under temporary occupation. This makes it impossible to calculate the exact number of cultural infrastructure facilities damaged during the hostilities and occupation," the statement reads.
