Four Ukrainian police officers were wounded in Donetsk region due to Russian shelling

On the night of October 26, Russia launched 80 Shahed combat UAVs and unspecified drones at Ukrainian cities. The air defences were active in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Chernihiv regions. 

Most of the Russian UAVs were shot down in the Odesa and Kyiv regions. In addition, 32 drones lost radar contact, and one flew towards Belarus.

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russian army shelled Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Mykolaivka, Toretsk, Kostiantynopil, Markove, Rozdolne and Sontsivka. Two civilians were killed, and nine civilians and four police officers were wounded. Twenty-two residential buildings, administrative buildings, 28 cars, gas pipelines, power grids, a motorcycle and a power line were damaged.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians fired 78 times at Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivska, Shalyhyne, Esman, Svesa, Sumy, Khotin, Myropillia, Richkivka, Bilopillia, Yampil communities and the Romny district. One person was wounded. The drone strikes damaged critical energy infrastructure.

The Russians conducted 355 strikes on the settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region: Mali Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka, Bilenke, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Levadne and Stepnohirsk. There were five reports of residential buildings and infrastructure being destroyed. No casualties were reported.

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, Russia shelled the Kutsurub community. The regional military administration reported no casualties.

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army shelled Kherson, Antonivka, Beryslav, Stanislav, Vesele, Mykhailivka, Sofiyivka, Tomyna Balka, Shyroka Balka, Bilozerka, Shliakhove, Mykilske, Zmiivka, Odradokamianka, Dniprovske, Prydniprovske, Sadove and Osokorivka. Two civilians were killed and eight others were wounded. The shelling damaged 23 private houses, a gas pipeline and a car.

In the Cherkasy region, central Ukraine located along the Dnipro River, a fire broke out on the territory of an infrastructure facility due to the fall of a Russian drone. No casualties were reported.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Borova, Malynivka, and Zahryzove. One civilian was killed and another wounded. Three houses, a storage facility for grain and two outbuildings were damaged.

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, Russia shelled the Novhorod-Siverskyi community. One civilian was wounded as a result. A lock-up and a car were damaged.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians attacked Makiivka and Hrekivka. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
