Former Wagner and Storm-Z mercenaries join one of the units of the Russian Volunteer Corps fighting on the side of Ukraine
Former mercenaries of the Wagner and Storm-Z PMCs have joined one of the units of the Russian Volunteer Corps fighting on the side of Ukraine.
The head of the unit, Denis Nikitin, call sign White Rex, said this in an interview with Mark Feygin.
Nikitin considers the recruitment of former Russian mercenaries a "successful experiment".
"I can open the seal of secrecy; a fighter from PMC Wagner and a fighter from Storm-Z participated in the liberation of 200 square meters of Ukrainian land for Ukraine as part of the Russian Volunteer Corps," Denis Nikitin shared.
The unit also accepts former Russian military and volunteers.
"They (former Wagnerites - Ed.) can continue doing what they love, but now as part of the Russian Volunteer Corps. My task as a commander is to give them this opportunity," the military added.
It will be recalled that on September 27, the spokesperson for the East Military Group, Illia Yevlash, said that Russia was again deploying former members of the Wagner PMC to eastern Ukraine.
