Euractiv: European Parliament agrees to open an office in Kyiv to support the Ukrainian parliament
According to Euractiv, the European Parliament has agreed to open an office in Kyiv to support the Ukrainian parliament. Journalists of the media outlet have reviewed the relevant document.
The decision was made on November 20. The decision should facilitate relations with the Ukrainian parliament and establish links with European Parliament committees. It will simplify administrative work, including relations with EU member states.
The European Parliament's delegations to non-EU countries are diplomatic missions run by the European External Action Service (EEAS). There are similar offices in New York, Addis Ababa and Jakarta.
The Ukrainian side initiated the creation of such an office.
