EU says it does not recognize "appropriation" of Zaporizhzhia NPP by Russia

The corresponding statement was published on the website of the EU foreign policy department.

The statement says that the European Union strongly condemns and will never recognize the decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the illegal seizure of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and demands strengthening the presence of the IAEA to improve the safety and security of this facility.

The EU also demands that Russia fully withdraw its troops and equipment from the territory of ZNPP and return it to the control of its rightful owner - Ukraine.
