Bulgaria bans imports of Ukrainian sunflower until the end of November
The Bulgarian government has banned imports of Ukrainian sunflower until the end of November.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farming of Bulgaria reported this on its website.
After this period, the licensing regime for exports of sunflower, wheat, corn, and rapeseed will be in place, according to the agreed plan between Ukraine and the European Commission.
The Minister of Agriculture and Farming of Bulgaria, Kiril Vatev, also informed his Ukrainian counterpart, Mykola Solskyi, of the concerns of Bulgarian farmers and processors about the imports of refined and unrefined sunflower oil, milk powder, honey, sugar, and frozen raspberries from Ukraine.
It will be recalled that on September 14, the Bulgarian Parliament cancelled the ban on imports of Ukrainian grain.
