Belarus accuses Ukraine of alleged plans to "strike", the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko
On October 8, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry invited Ukraine's Ambassador to Minsk Ihor Kyzym and handed him a diplomatic note stating that Ukraine was allegedly "preparing to strike" on the territory of Belarus.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Nikolenko reacted to this and stressed that Ukraine has never encroached on foreign territories and adheres to the norms and principles of international law and the UN Charter.
The Foreign Ministry does not exclude the fact that the delivery of a diplomatic note may be part of the Russian Federation's plan to provoke and further accuse Ukraine.
