At the request of Ukraine the UN Security Council will hold a meeting on the so-called "referendums" in the temporarily occupied territories

This was announced by Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko.

"Russia must be held accountable for further attempts to change the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine contrary to the UN Charter," Nikolenko said.

In a comment to Ukrinform, the UN Security Council Secretariat noted that the discussion would take place at 22 pm Kyiv time, on September 27.
