In February-March 2022, during the occupation of Katiuzhanka, the Vyshhorod district, a Russian serviceman detained former military of the ATO. He demanded information about the location of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the place of residence of other ATO servicemen.
As the investigators established, he forced two men to go downstairs to the premises of a local school, where there was a place for torture and interrogation in the basement. Former ATO participants were tortured and threatened with murder and execution for refusing to cooperate. The men had no access to food and water.
