UN Secretary General Guterres: The talks in Istanbul were a step towards solving the food crisis

For the final result, the parties need to continue technical negotiations, Antonio Guterres said.

"We hope that further negotiations will allow us to sign the agreement," he added, saying that the parties had proven their ability to conduct constructive negotiations.

The final agreement is likely to be signed next week. The Secretary General of the UN may go to Istanbul to participate in the negotiations.
