Ukraine severs diplomatic relations with Democratic People's Republic of Korea

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry made this decision in response to the DPRK's recognition of the illegal armed formations of the so-called LNR and DNR. Ukraine considers this an attempt to undermine Ukrainian sovereignty.

In practice, political and economic relations with the DPRK do not exist due to the sanctions imposed on the DPRK.
