Ivan Fedorov: Russians block Melitopol to use the city's residents as human shields

After the destruction of the Russian ammunition warehouse in Melitopol, three times more Russian police and Russia's FSB security agency officers appeared in the city.

The Russians are placing air defence equipment near residential areas in the Novyi Melitopol area.

The Russian military prevents the burial of dead Ukrainians. They also raised prices for utilities and food products. Residents pay for heating according to winter tariffs.

In addition, the Russian military is conducting "surveys" and collecting data from the city's residents, presumably to use them to hold a fake referendum.

About 45% of the residents remained in the city. 80% of them are unemployed.
