The Main Directorate of Intelligence: Appointment of Valerii Gerasimov to the post of commander of occupation troops indicates preparation for a long-term war

On January 11, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu appointed the Chief of the Russian General Staff Gerasimov to this position instead of Sergei Surovikin. 

In addition, Russia is reorganizing its economy and military-industrial complex. This also indicates a desire to wage a protracted war.
