At night, Russians attacked Ukraine with 49 drones. Air defence units shot down 21 Shahed-136/131s

The Russian army sent most of the attack drones along the front line of defence and at civilian, military and infrastructure facilities in the frontline areas, particularly in the Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia regions.

In the Khmelnytskyi region in the west, a fire broke out at a critical infrastructure facility as a result of a drone attack. It has already been extinguished. No one was injured.

In Odesa, in the south of the country, the wreckage of a downed drone fell in the coastal zone of the Odesa district and caused a fire in an open area. No one got injured. 

In addition, eight regions were attacked during the day with various weapons. 

Donetsk region: Russians struck 20 times at civilians. Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Selydove, Vyshneve, Berdychi, Lastochkyne, Novoukrainka, Oleksandr-Kalynove, Ostrovske, Prohres, etc. were under attack. Four people were killed, and 12 were injured. 

Kharkiv region: as a result of the attack on Kharkiv on the evening of December 30, 28 people were injured, 12 of them in hospital. Two children aged 14 and 16 and a foreigner are among the injured. Residential buildings, hotel buildings, and several hospitals were damaged. In addition, the Russians fired artillery and mortar shells at more than 15 settlements in the region. In the village of Borova, Izium district, the bodies of three people were pulled from the rubble of a house. Their identities are being established. 

Sumy region: On December 30, Russians fired 37 times at the border areas. 179 explosions were recorded. On the night of December 31, they carried out four mortar attacks on the border areas. 21 explosions were recorded. 

Chernihiv region: Russian troops shelled two border communities with MLRS, aircraft missiles and mortars.

Mykolaiv region: Russians shelled the Kutsurub and Ochakiv communities three times. There were no casualties.

Kherson region: the Russian army made 71 attacks, firing 380 shells. There were hits to residential areas, an administrative building, an educational institution and an unbreakable point. Two people were killed. 

Dnipropetrovsk region: on December 30, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol district. One person got injured. A five-storey building and 20 private houses were damaged, as well as an administrative building, a utility company, gas pipelines, and power lines. Almost 1300 families were left without electricity. In Dnipro, the falling wreckage of a downed missile caused damage to the plant's territory.

Zaporizhzhia region: Russian troops conducted 126 strikes on 22 settlements. One person was killed. There are 18 reports of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure.
