The spring-summer period will be very difficult, but we are ready for any development of the situation — Ukrainian intelligence

Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this at an event organized at the residence of the Federal President of Germany in the Bellevue Palace in Berlin.

Russia has launched an offensive from at least four directions, but the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are unable to conduct such offensive operations simultaneously. They can do it on a maximum of two directions, Skibitskyi said.

The Deputy Chief of the MDI reported that the military intelligence of Ukraine knew every step of the enemy in advance and was ready for the start of the full-scale aggression, the signs of which had been there since the spring of 2021.

In an interview with the German media group Funke, quoted by DW, Vadym Skibitskyi said that one of Ukraine's strategic goals is to "drive a wedge" between the temporarily occupied Crimea and the Russian mainland.

He noted that the Ukrainian army might be ready to launch an offensive in the spring, but the exact moment depends on a number of factors, including the supply of Western weapons.

"We will stop only when we restore the country to the borders of 1991," Skibitskyi emphasized.
